Climate Adaptation 2023 begins

Today is the first day of Climate Adaptation 2023. For those joining us in Adelaide we look forward to welcoming you at the Adelaide Convention centre for Australia’s pre-eminent conference focused exclusively on climate vulnerability, impacts and adaptation. You’ll see hub speakers across the 3-day program presenting on a range of topics.

12.30pm – CSIRO nearshore modeller Dr. Julian O’Grady on Sea Level Rise: Using CANUTE to understand our changing coasts
12.30pm –  Dr. Ailie Gallant, Associate Professor in the School of Earth, Atmosphere and Environment at Monash University on Australia’s droughts: from flash droughts to long term drying across Australia.

 

Tonight Adaptfest brings together filmmakers to showcase perspectives, people and places on the frontline of adaptation. These short films highlight a diverse range of adaptation activities going on across Australia.
