Climate Adaptation

The Climate Systems Hub is responsible for delivering the Climate Adaptation Initiative, a cross-cutting program of research and activities to support climate change adaptation.

Adaptation represents the decisions and actions that help to prepare for the adverse consequences of unavoidable climate change.

The Climate Adaptation Initiative is delivering against the following 4 program-level activity areas:

  1. Integrated adaptation research: Climate change adaptation focused research and outputs are produced across the NESP hubs.
  2. Synthesise, communicate, disseminate: Strong end-user capacity, uptake and application of evidence-based climate systems research and adaptation information.
  3. Planning and decision support: Decision support tools are delivered that enable application of climate change adaptation on the ground.
  4. Community of practice: Adaptation decision-makers, adaptation researchers and climate scientists are supported to share learnings and build relationships.
