2023 – Looking back at a year of extremes

December 14, 2023

From events like Climate Adaptation 2023 to furthering our understanding of foundational science, the hub has achieved a lot this year.

Our last webinar for the year was a chance to zoom out to the drivers of this year of global extremes and how our understanding of our climate has advanced. Hub leader Dr Simon Marsland discussed what this year’s innovations means for the future of climate science. Dr Marsland was joined by University of Melbourne’s Dr Andrew King to look at the context of this year’s global extremes and UNSW early career researcher Katie Quail who shared her perspective on the WCRP Open Science Conference in Rwanda and the importance of indigenous knowledge.
