Many of Australia’s threatened species and special places are under threat from a rapidly changing climate including rising temperatures and an increase in extreme weather events. Climate-effective management for threatened species and protected places is working with conservation managers across the country to plan for the many challenges of climate change.
Dr Alistair Hobday, Associate Professor Sarah Boulter and Dr Claire Mason gave a recap of how the project is supporting on-the-ground adaptation, including a sneak peek at their ‘2024 Climate adaptation across the year’ calendar. They were joined by Dr Valentina Mella, Chris Purnell and Andy Williams.They spoke about their experience leading on-ground climate adaptation to discuss lessons learned implementing innovative solutions for climate change impacts across Australia.
