ACCESS: Australia’s climate and earth system model

ACCESS (Australian Community Climate and Earth System Simulator) is a state-of-the-art climate and earth system model used to simulate processes and interactions within the Earth’s climate. It brings together weather, ocean and climate modelling in Australia, integrating multiple components of the Earth’s system such as atmosphere, oceans, land, sea ice and the carbon cycle.
The data ACCESS provides can be used to predict climate and environmental changes, and to inform considerations of climate risk, mitigation pathways, carbon management, adaptation policy, and decision-making for Australia.
