Australian Adaptation Database

Australian Adaptation Database

May 8, 2025

Explore Australia’s first national adaptation stocktake through the Australian Adaptation Database. Developed as part of the project CS2.1 Enabling Best Practice Adaptation, this database brings together a wide range of adaptation activities from across the country.

The database provides insight into where and how adaptation is occurring in Australia—across sectors, scales, and regions. It is designed to support decision-makers, researchers, and practitioners in identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities in climate adaptation practice.

This resource is one of several project outputs aimed at enabling best-practice adaptation. Others include literature reviews on adaptation enablers and best practice, and case studies examining real-world examples of adaptation in action.

Access the Australian Adaptation Database here to explore how adaptation is taking shape across Australia.
